چکیده

Improving the mineral concentrations of maize (Zea mays L.) will aid in reduction malnutrition low-resource households that consume maize-based meals regularly. The study’s objective was to compare how different soil amendments and heat-stressed environments affect grain yield maize. study involved (HS) non-heat-stressed (NHS) environments, three varieties (WE3128, WE5323, ZM1523), amendments. essential minerals analysis revealed a significant effect variety, amendment, heat stress on contents. Among amendments, fertilizer amendment (MF) gave highest Zinc (Zn), 37.95 ± 15.3 µg/kg, while iron (Fe) (136.9 51.3 µg/kg) were obtained with combination fertilizer/poultry-manure (MPM). treatment interactions containing MPM both HS NHS consistently produced positive results varieties. When compared environment, environment reduced weight (GWt) by 378% increasing Fe Zn 43.6% 15.8%, respectively. significantly higher than 14.6%, 34.0%, 1.5%, 11.0%, 1.9%, 89.2% for Ca, Cl, Mg, Na, P, S, macromineral found WE5323. All treatments grouped together, exception NHS-4 NHS-7, which lowest means number GWt NHS, Although variety inconsistent separating interactions, there good level consistency along factor factor. correlation proportional relationship between tends decrease or concentrations. Therefore, selecting high only may result lower grain. amended MPM, stable should be considered breeding programs aiming quantity quality.

Assessment of Terminal Heat Stress and Nitrogen on Grain Yield and Yield Com-ponents of Canola.

In order to study the effects of terminal heat stress and nitrogen on morphophysiological characteristics, ANUE (Agronomical Nitrogen Use Efficiency) and yield of canola, an experiment was conducted at research farm of Ramin Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources university. The experiment was arranged in split plots based on randomized complete block design with four replications. Main pl...

Increasing influence of heat stress on French maize yields from the 1960s to the 2030s

Improved crop yield forecasts could enable more effective adaptation to climate variability and change. Here, we explore how to combine historical observations of crop yields and weather with climate model simulations to produce crop yield projections for decision relevant timescales. Firstly, the effects on historical crop yields of improved technology, precipitation and daily maximum temperat...

Amendment effects on soil test phosphorus.

Applications of animal manures have increased soil test P values in many parts of the USA and thus increased the risk that soil P will be transferred to surface water and decrease water quality. To continue farming these areas, landowners need tools to reduce the risk of P losses. A field experiment was conducted near Kurten, TX, on a Zulch fine sandy loam (thermic Udertic Paleustalfs) with Bra...

Influence of Heat Stress on Male Fertility

Introduction Testicular temperature of bulls must be 2 to 6° C cooler than body temperature to allow normal spermatogenesis and maturation of sperm. Exposure of bulls to increased ambient temperatures results in reduced semen quality (Casady et al., 1953; Skinner and Louw, 1966; Meyerhoeffer et al., 1985). Local heating of the scrotum of bulls for a few days causes a reduction in the number of ...
